A Contextual Overvıew of Cengiz Aytmatov’s Work “First Teacher”

Abstract
Cengiz Aytmatov is one of the most important and greatest writersof Turkish and world literature. There are many works in Turkish andother languages related to Aytmatov's works, where we can see universalelements along with national elements in his works. However, it has beendetermined that studies that present the contextual meanings of the wordsused in their works and the stylistic features of these meanings have notbeen revealed to date. In order to compensate for this deficiency and tobetter understand Cengiz Aytmatov's works in all aspects, Birinçi Mugalimwrote the book titled 'First Teacher' in Kyrgyz, and the style features ofthe vocabulary treasure in his works, the 'shape features' of the work, andMehmet Kaplan. It was aimed to contribute to the understanding of the"content" in the work by acting in the context of handover, witness andwork. In this context, two investigations were made. Firstly, contextualmeanings, collocations, word types, origin of words, single or multiplemeanings, vocabulary in the work by using the Self-Compilation Program(kkd.mersin.edu.tr), which is a computer-based program and used withthe TÜBİTAK project. It was tried to understand the work by usingits 'shape' features by making evaluations based on its data such asfrequencies and ecosystem concepts. Secondly, it was tried to providea more accurate understanding of the era, the author and the work byevaluating the 'content' evaluation of the work together with the fictionfeatures that will be extended from the 'spirit of the period' to the 'spiritof the author' and from there to the 'work'. In the study, the edited text ofBirinçi Mugalim, one of Aytmatov's first works, made in 2008 was takenas the basis.
