Abstract

Iran is one of the geographies which Turks lived intensively in and was also ruled throughout history. Today, Turk groups like Azerbaijan Turks, Kashkays, Abivardis, Sonqors, Khalaj Turks, Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Khorasan Turks and Turkmens are living in different regions of Iran. Turkmens live in the region of Turkmensahra in the northeast of Iran. Turkmensahra is situated in the province of Khorasan-ı Razaviand the region containing the north of the North Khorasan and the city of Golestan in Iran. It is reported that the population of Turkmens in these regions is 1,5-2 million. In this study, the tales of Oğlaklı Keçi and Ecekecân collected in the dialect of Gunbad were studied. The tales were typed by transcriptionand also transferred to Turkish. Beside this, the language properties in the texts were examined
