On the Bibliogy History of the Tatars

Abstract

Publishing books had great importance in the civilization history which provide information about the nation's history, civilization and culture. The publication, distribution and circulation represent much more than a physical activity. In that point, the history of books became as an important research area.Tatars have the oldest publishing tradition in Turkish World. That is the reason that history of the Tatars' books should be kept separate from other nation's book journey. Multilingualism and rich content are the important points of Tatars book to focus on. The publishing and the press activities were considered too crucial in the nation of Tatars so that nation's book history deserves to be searched and deserve to be worked on it in the universities. Also scientists need to be grown on that research area. After the Ottoman's publishing tradition, it should be noticed that Kazan's publishing tradition is the next powerful cultural field which began with the establishment of Kazan's printing press activities in 1804. In this respect, Gabdělgaziz Bulaşov, Hemze Mamışev, Gali Rehmetullin, Korbangali İshakov, Yosıf Apanayev who are the trailblazer of publishing books and who resumed their cultural activities despite all their difficult circumstances deserve to be searched.This study focuses on the interesting Tatars publishing and the history of the books. It also gives the information about the balance of the publishing books before and after the Soviet.
